Student Support - Experiential Training
EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING PROGRAMME
Experiential Training Programme: Students who complete their studies need to obtain practical experience before a National Diploma can be awarded. The Student Support Officers at each campus assist students in finding jobs or at least voluntary on-the-job training.
Students who qualify may apply to do experiential training at the College for 6 months in a field related to their studies. They don't receive a salary, only a travel allowance.
During the experiential training period, students are exposed to a real working environment. Students are mentored about work ethics. Students are also exposed to different departments and receive the support and guidance of management and staff members in these departments.
At the end of the day, ORBIT College hopes to deliver future employees to strengthen South Africa’s work force.
